Shootin’ Hoop! [VIDEO]

I used to play wheelchair basketball.

In high school and into the first couple years of college, I was part of a team called the San Fernando Valley COBRAS!

We were a new team to the league and to be honest, we didn’t win too many games. Not because we weren’t good, we just couldn’t ever get into the groove as a team.

I left the team to put more time into my music.

Once I started walking full time, I didn’t really shoot hoop at all.

I missed it.

I remember the first time I played standing on my feet. It was awkward. I was so used to shooting the ball sitting down, I kept throwing the ball too high! Eventually, as I practiced more, it started to click.

I still shoot better sitting down, but now, I’m stronger and more accurate on my feet.
