Tony Jacobsen Speaking About Osteogenesis Imperfecta

Speaking About Living With Osteogenesis Imperfecta

I had the pleasure of speaking to an audience about living with O.I. (Osteogenesis Imperfecta). at the Fortieth Annual Southern California Petroleum Industry Charity Association Golf & Tennis Tournament to benefit The Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation fundraising event in Industry Hills, CA.

Speaking To Audiences About Living With A Physical Disability

What an exciting event to speak at! The audience was a combination of golfers and tennis players who played in the tournament during the day as well as volunteers and other individuals with O.I.

My seven-minute talk consisted of some past experiences I’ve had as well as the importance of community and education when it comes to dealing with O.I.  I stressed the importance of contributing to the O.I. Foundation and how the foundation has helped to build and educate the O.I. community throughout the years. I also touched on my fitness and physical accomplishments.

I received a fantastic response and I look forward to speaking for more audiences about living with O.I. and how I’ve been able to accomplish my dreams and goals despite having a physical disability.
